On January 8, we saw on the territory of the hotel at an altitude of 1650 m num (Bethlehem Hotel, Ziway, Oromia Region).
On January 8 and 9, we met in the vicinity and on the territory of the Bishangari Lodge (Lake Langano, Oromia Region).

Synonym: Long-tailed brilliant starling.

On 6 January, a flock of birds was seen in the coastal forest along the Awash River at an altitude of 1000 num (Awash National Park, Oromia Region).
On January 8, we saw on the territory of the hotel at an altitude of 1650 m num (Bethlehem Hotel, Ziway, Oromia Region).
On January 8, they met in groups in the Park at an altitude of 1600 m num (Abidjatta-Shalla National Park, Oromia Region).

We saw a flock of dozens of birds.
On January 3, a pair of birds to the west of the city of Deneb at an altitude of 2600 m num (Semien Shewa, Amhara Region).
On January 10, we met in a field in the Bale Mountains at an altitude of 3400 m num (Bale Mountains National Park, Oromia Region).

On 10 January there are many blackbirds in a field in the Bale Mountains at 3400 m above sea level (Bale Mountains National Park, Oromia Region).

During winter migrations, birds of the nominal subspecies and longirostris are found in Ethiopia.
